The moment you step into an adventure, there is a string of events that will inevitably take place. With them can come moments of challenge, exhaustion, and sometimes despair. But if you look hard enough, below the surface lie the hidden gems that make the struggle all worthwhile. Those little moments that say: ‘Hey outside! I’ve won.’

4. When the fresh sock hits your foot (after the shower… after your winter adventure).
It’s cold out there right now, but you know that’s no reason to say no to your run/ski/snowshoe/hike/insert winter activity.
You’ve returned, relieved to feel the heat again but still shivering; Mother Nature chilled you to the bone.
As you hit the shower, the hot water stings your winter-branded skin: Your cheeks, your thighs, your fingers and toes. Your exterior begins to warm but you are half-convinced your interior will carry that chill from now until the end of time.
And then comes the best part: You’ve cut the water and there’s a clean, warm, and cozy pair of socks waiting for your feet. They burrow on in, and you immediately feel the difference.
Within minutes, they’re warm again. And so are you.
Happy winter adventuring everyone!
